Disaster Recovery Plan

To avoid the consequences of threats such as computer attacks, equipment failures and natural catastrophes, we must develop a disaster recovery plan. We need to carry out a risk assessment to identify, analyze and evaluate the threats that could affect our Data Centre, especially those that can trigger an event that is included in the disaster category, let us remember that each Data Centre is unique, so each disaster recovery plan is also for each Data Centre.

In order to develop the plan we must first define the objectives of Data Centre recovery, the target recovery time, and the target recovery point, later we will develop recovery and business continuity strategies in which we must make clear all the measures we must take To return to the operation as soon as possible. Already when we have our plan established, we have to test and train the staff of the Data Centre, especially those who will be in charge of executing the plan, with these tests, we will improve this plan steadily and according to the values thrown during these tests, we will be updating and improving our plan.
